Unlike Bitcoin’s SHA-256, ScashX utilizes RandomX, a memory-hard proof-of-work (PoW) algorithm.

2. Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (ASERT DAA)
ScashX adopts the ASERT (aserti3-2d) difficulty adjustment algorithm (DAA), originally introduced in Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Unlike Bitcoin’s 2016-block difficulty retargeting mechanism (roughly every two weeks), ASERT adjusts difficulty every block, making the network much more adaptive to hash rate fluctuations.
